The Milan-Duomo and Torre Velasca notebooks set Is a pair of notebooks sold in one pack.
Milan Is a city rich in history and culture, which is expressed in different ways through its architecture. Between these, two buildings represent two very different eras and two styles, but both significant for the past and present of the city: the Duomo and the Velasca tower.
The Cathedral Is the symbol par excellence of Milanese history and architecture. In addition to the imposing size, what makes it unique and recognizable are its spires. It took several centuries to complete its construction, in which several architects who have characterized every single portion have succeeded. The facades and spiers, still maintained by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, are made of Candoglia marble. Historically, from Lake Maggiore, the marble reached the city center using the Navigli system and the inner circle of the city, no longer exists.
The Tower Velasca Marks an era, driving the cultural transition of the Italian architectural landscape towards the end of rationalism. Designed by the Milanese studio BBPR, together with the Pirelli building, it marks the beginning of the history of "vertical Milan". Its form-iconic and recognizable, a real landmark-aims to summarize the history, culture and atmosphere of the city, summarizing its characteristics with a completely new language.
We have combined these two architectures into a single set of notebooks to show How Milan is a city capable of combining tradition and modernity, art and innovation, history and the future.
